With a few decades of working in the Toronto corporate advertising scene behind me, and still a few more to go, I must say that things have changed, and are still changing even faster than the newest, freshest faces can catch up with. Part of the pure understanding of the advertising rat race is founded on knowing what to pay attention to and what not to. The death of print, cable cutting, mobile device obsession, influencers, the deformation of branding, and paid search are just a few of the things that keep it interesting.

It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent that survives. It is the one that is the most adaptable to change.

There are still few things that work well and will never change. Listen to your customer. Bring value to your market. Show up at the right party. Find your ideal differentiator. Be brave. Be sure. Be real.

I currently work as a full time marketer and business partner for a company called Magnetic Capital Group. We are a private mortgage investment company with three divisions. The two other ones are called Invest Easy and Borrow Easier.

Are my Advertising agency day over forever? You never know but for the time being I pretty focussed on what Iā€™m doing. But if you want to reach out to me for help or advice go for it.
